Entertaining on a budget: Finger licking good chicken quarters w/bacon

 The other night when I got home I didn't feel like messing with cooking... Shoot I had crafts to attend to!! So I decided instead of grilling my chicken quarters {which I woulda had to babysit} I decided to roast them in the oven with BACON!

This is probably the best decision I've made in awhile. The chicken was so deliciously moist and packed with flavor!!

I purchased my pre-seasoned chicken quarters from the best grocery store on earth...HEB
I'm sorry if you don't reside in the great lone star state!!

These low maintenance beauties were a whopping $3.25!! This is perfect for entertaining... the men are happy because they are hardy and satisfying..... and the women are happy because they can socialize instead of slaving in the kitchen!!!
{ Bonus its an easy clean up}

They went straight from the package to my baking dish.

Then I cut some {thick cut} bacon slices in half and topped the quarters.

Plopped them in a preheated 350 degree oven and crafted away for the next hour or so.

Once the chicken reaches 165 degrees and juices run clear they are ready to be devoured!

These go great with pasta salad,  fresh dinner salad, potato salad....lol I just realized everything I listed has salad in it... Now I have bubba from Forest Gump stuck in my head

......barbeque shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp,shrimp soup, shrimp stew.... lol but I think you get the point!!!

 Hope ya'll enjoyed this mouth watering post! It was nice chatting with y'all!!

  2. Stopping by from the Blog Hop Social and this looks delicious but I'm partial to anything with bacon. Do you think I could make it with chicken breasts instead of quarters? I typically just buy the boneless skinless stuff.

    1. You could def use chicken breast but be careful they tend to dry out pretty easy! I like the quarters because they are extra juicy and packed with flavor!! Thanks for stopping by Britni!!
