Fabric Flower Tutorial

This is the easiest flower to make! It looks stunning on a headband or just as a clip! Heres how to make it....
first you will need:
Felt
silky fabric
tulle or neting(optional)
Button
hot glue
Depending on the size flower you are wanting... cut out circles of you silky and tulle fabric that gradually get larger, and cut a small circle of your felt.
Next take your silky circles and run a lighter across the edges all the way around. This will make the edgles curl up like petals of  a real flower. Make sure you don't hold it in one spot to long or you will burn the fabric.
now place a small dab of  glue in the center and then place a circle of tulle on top of it then add a silky petal and continue to rotate until both tulle and silk are used up.

 Then add your button!
Lastly add your pin and clip on the back...refer to Flower tutorial # 1 on how to apply

Fabric flower tutorial # 1

Supplies:
felt
fabric of choice or ribbon
buttons/beads
alligator clips
pins
hot glue\

The first step:  Cut a circle out of the felt .... the size you would like the flower to be
Next twist your ribbon or fabric... put a dab of hot glue in the center of your circle and place the ribbon on the glue.

keep twisting your ribbon and hot gluing it
to the felt as you go. It doesn't have to be perfect or folded a certain way just eyeball it as you go.

If there is still felt showing after you get the size of flower your wanting just trim it off. Then add some embellishments in the center of the flower. I like to use blinged out buttons or beads. If you go to antique stores sometimes you can find some really pretty clip earrings...just take the clip off the back and now you have a beautiful center piece for your flower!
Now to finish your flower add a alligator clip on the back and a pin. I like to do both in case one day I need a hair piece or  as a broach the next day to accessorize a sweater!
